Is Intellectual Property valuable?
Intellectual property is fast becoming recognised as a valuable commercial asset. However, to ensure that your intellectual property is recognised as an asset on your company balance sheet, you must ensure that you do all things necessary to identify, protect and manage it. Not all intellectual property can be registered for protection. In Australia, trade marks, designs and patents can be registered. We strongly recommend that you do register those rights that can be registered in order to protect you intellectual property and maximize its commercial value.
