Should I also register other
extensions of my domain name?
We recommend that you do register variations of your domain name. For example, if your domain name is www.widgets.com.au, we recommend that you also register domain names such as;
-
www.widgets.com
-
www.widgets.asia
-
www.widgets.net.au
-
www.widgets.info
If you are considering doing online business in other countries, you should also register the domain name in those countries. However, you may find that certain variations of your domain name are no longer available. Sometimes this is because another party is geniunely doing business on those domain names, but this is not always the case.
If you require a domain name that is unavailable, please feel free to contact us to discuss a strategy to possibly obtain a licence for that domain name.
